Our Very First Wedding at Monks
On September 3rd 2016 this year our very first wedding took place.
The bridegroom was Mark Smith and the bride was Jolanta Janda. Mark is a local lad who met Jolanta at his work place in Swindon, Wiltshire. Jolanta comes from Poland and has been in England for a few years. They have made their home in Royal Wooten Bassett. Jolanta’s Mum and Dad and members of her family came over from Poland for the Ceremony. The Service was conducted by the Rev. Cathy Arscott. The service was held in English with some readings and prayers in Polish in which both families took part. The rain kept on all day but did not dampen our spirits one bit, our first Wedding service went very smoothly and was enjoyed by everyone present. The reception was held in Melksham at the Gonigre Hotel where we ate and drank with toasts to the bride & groom late into the night.. We hope this wedding will be the first of many here at Monks Chapel in lovely rural Wiltshire not far from the historic City Of Bath. W dniu 3 września 2016 roku to nasz pierwszy ślub odbył.
Pan młody był Mark Smith i oblubienica była Jolanta Janda. Mark jest miejscowy chłopak, który spotkał Jolanta w swoim miejscu pracy w Swindon, Wiltshire. Jolanta pochodzi z Polski i został w Anglii przez kilka lat. Zrobili ich domu w Royal Wooten Bassett. Mama Jolanty i tata oraz członkowie jej rodziny podszedł z Polski dla ceremonii. Usługa została przeprowadzona przez ks Cathy Arscott. Usługa odbyła się w języku angielskim z kilku odczytów i modlitwy w języku polskim, w którym obie rodziny brali udział. Padający deszcz utrzymane przez cały dzień, ale nie tłumić nasze duchy jeden bit, nasza pierwsza służba Wesele poszło bardzo sprawnie i cieszył wszystkich obecnych. W recepcji odbyło się w Melksham na Gonigre Hotel, gdzie jedliśmy i piliśmy z grzankami do młodej i pana młodego do późnej nocy .. Mamy nadzieję, że ten ślub będzie pierwszym z wielu tu w Monks Chapel w pięknej wiejskiej Wiltshire niedaleko od zabytkowego miasta Bath.
