AGM Minutes

Monks Chapel AGM 9th January 2024

Present: Gary (Chairman),Jan (Elder & Secretary), Wendy (Eder and Secretary), David (Treasurer), Alison.

Apologies: Denise, Greg.

The only items covered were the acceptance of the resignation of the Treasurer David Spink and the re-election of Jan Smith and Wendy Carter as Joint Secretaries. It was agreed by the Elders that all duties of the Treasurer will be passed to the Synod.  A copy of the examined accounts for the year ended 31st August 2023 were given to those present.

NOTE :- At the Chapel meeting of 6.02.2024 it was agreed Wendy Carter will be sole primary Liaison Officer with the Synod Treasurer.

Monks Chapel AGM 29th November 2022

Finances: Accounts agreed subject to clarification of dates i.e. 2020 -2021 is 2021 – 2022
Donations: doubled from previous year

Elections: Thank you May for the service you have given as Elder and we honour your decision to step down

Monks Chapel Extraordinary Church Meeting 15th December 2019

The Church Meeting was convened with three Sundays clear notice to consider two items.

1. To formally adopt a constitution to enable an application for
Gift Aid to be progressed.
The Constitution is appended and should be read as forming
part of these minutes.
The following was passed unanimously…
The members of Monks Chapel United Reformed Church at a
duly constituted Church Meeting held on 151219 agreed to
formally adopt the Constitution as presented to the Meeting
and found in the document titled ‘200115 Model Constitution
for local churches 2010’

2. To pass a resolution that would enable financial assistance to
be sought from the Synod towards the erection of a new shed
for the toilet. The resolution below makes reference to the
Synod Property Form 2018 which is appended and should be
read as forming part of these minutes.
The following was passed unanimously…
The members of Monks Chapel United Reformed Church at a
duly constituted Church Meeting held on 151219 agreed as
follows:-

1) to apply to the Synod Property Committee for permission to
carry out the works detailed in Section 3 above.

2) to seek Synod financial support and funds as detailed in Section 4 above
